Ximena Pardo Fuentes is a PhD candidate in the Local Development and International Cooperation program at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She is currently working as a pre-doctoral researcher with an FPU contract at the Institute for Innovation and Knowledge Management INGENIO (CSIC-UPV). She has also been a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid (Spain), within the framework of the project “Integration and belonging in institutional praxis: critical discourse analysis from a gender and intersectionality perspective,” directed by Maria Caterina La Barbera. Her research focuses on development cooperation, gender studies, and intersectionality. Her research focuses on the analysis of social inequalities from an intersectional perspective, with special attention to the contexts of development and migration. Notable examples of her work include her research entitled "Intersectionality from theory to practice: the case of African women living in Valencia,“ developed within the framework of the JAE-CSIC program at the CSIC Institute of Philosophy, as well as her master's thesis in Development Cooperation at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, entitled ”Feminization of the defense of food sovereignty in a  GIAHS territory: analysis of the case of the seed keepers of Chiloé"
